With all the swimming and start of year stuff going on, this was my first full day of teaching and we did soooo much work!! I am so proud of my kids and myself.

First they went to assembly, then we did the role and messages.
We then went out to morning fitness - doing laps of the oval (lap club).
In spelling, the kids made posters out of one of the spelling words.
Fast facts mental math went on as usual.

After recess, the kids looked at house plans because they are designing houses to make. They compared what is alike in all of them and the differences.
They wrote in their journals and then did a co-operation (the school value for the beginning of the year) activity.

After lunch, they did silent reading, creative writing and art. While they were doing art, I did some standardised reading testing - to see what reading level they are!!.

It was a great day!!

Now I've got to go and organise this fish before it defrosts, so bye for now.
